Lotus Eaters We are male members of the club of 55 years or more and we meet most Wednesday mornings and we play between 7.30 am and 9.30 am. The Golf club have set aside Tee times specially for us to run competitions. Bookings are made by entering your name on the sheet on our notice board in place a week before. We mostly run stableford competitions with a participation fee of £2. We aim to have prizes totalling £30. When the club has a Mid-Week Qualifier most members take part in both events and our competition is also played from the designated tees. The balance provides a fund for the year end which enables us to make donations to 4 small but very important local charities. We also contribute to the Junior section and the Pro – Am Event. We play friendly matches on a home and away basis with other similarly constituted groups from local golf clubs
On completion of these matches we have lunch at the home club Any qualifying member of the club wishing to join us please add your name to our Wednesday Entry sheet on our Notice Board (next to fire exit in changing Room) or contact a member of our committee |
