Staff vs. Committee - 15th December 2008  The Staff won the annual match, six games to three. Captain Donal can be seen above presenting the 'impressive' trophy to Secretary David. The actual definition of 'Staff' in David's team selection was fairly flexible! Nevertheless a resounding victory. The match was followed by an excellent dinner in the Lounge. Click for pictures. Stewart comes with a fine reputation for teaching. New teaching facilities are already underway so talk to Stewart about how he can help you Stuart joins us from Horton Park where he was head of theTeaching Academy. Earlier in his career, he worked at Cuddington GC and at the RAC, where he was Head Assistant under Ian Howieson We wish Stuart every success at Epsom and we look forward to meeting him. Claire Olney at the World Championships Congratulations to Claire coming 5th in the "Calloway Golf Junior World Championships" (Girls 7-8 ) Have a look at the WebSite. The tournament was held in at the Sycuan Resort - Pine Glen Course - San Diego, California Claire was only 5 shots behind the winner. A tremendous achievement! Leader Board. Epsom at the Women's Open - 31st July to 3rd August  A group of Club members were privileged to be selected as marshals at theWomen's Open at Sunningdale. Junior Club Championship
Kimberley Munro (77) won the scratch trophy and Anthony Edwards (65) won the handicap trophy. They are seen above receiving their trophies at Ron Goudie’s last presentation. 18 Juniors entered Racecourse Following receipt of confirmation that the new hotel, adjacent to the racecourse, is due to open on 1st September, a meeting was held with officials from the racecourse and work is already underway to put together some joint marketing packages.  Congratulations to Paul Morris and Sam Beak, seen above receiving their prizes for winning the Bramley GC Mixed Open on Sunday 13th July 2008. They followed a morning round 31 points with 42 points in the afternoon, by far the best round of the day. Well Played! |
