Christmas Lunch
The ladies held their Christmas greensomes followed by lunch on Tuesday
15th Dec.
Traditional Christmas lunch was enjoyed by 64 ladies and the winners of
the day were Barbara Kelley and Janet Morse.
Winner of the funny hat competition was Diana Tombs.
Thanks to all the ladies who took part in the hat competition and all the
ladies who joined in the lunch and carol singing.

Doe's Supper - 29th October
One of the final events celebrating Epsom Ladies Centenary year was their
inaugural Does Supper held on Thursday 29th October. The menu of the evening
was taken from the Titanic starting with a punch and canapes reception.
The handsome waiters were Roger Wildig, Club Captain Elect, and Andrew
Pelling and David Franklin both past Club Captains. Our fantastic, funny
speaker was Chris Langford formerly of the Ladies European Tour, but now
Director of Golf at Desert Springs, Spain and who also recently won the
English Ladies Senior International Open at the Meridian GC, Cambridge
by four points. Safe to say the Ladies had a great evening and the event
is now firmly fixed in the diary.

Surrey Lady Captain's Invitation Day - 13th August
As part of the Ladies' Centenary Celebrations, a Surrey Lady Captains Invitational
day was held on 13th August.
20 Lady Captains from Surrey Clubs took up the invitation to play with an Epsom Lady and then have a Scottish High Tea. Weather was once again kind and on course hospitality was served by the 'Men in Black' i.e. vice captain Helen Davies's husband David and past Lady Captain Diana Balsdon's husband Richard..
Winners of the day were Anne Caunt and the Lady Captain Loretta Parker from Reigate Heath with 45 pts. seen receiving their prizes of commemorative glass ware from Sandra McClelland our Lady Captain.

Lady Captain's Prize Day - 16th June
Sunshine and tropicana was the order of the day for the Lady Captain's
Prize day. The tropical half way house run by Ron McClelland (Lady Captain's
husband) and George Foot, husband of Hon Sec. Pat Foot, both did a sterling
job supplying Bucks Fizz, Pink Perry with stawberries , chunks of pineapple
etc to keep the girls going.
The winner of the day was Maggie Bingham and prizes were summer straw handbags and beach bags.

Ladies Open 30th April 2009
Epsom Ladies held their Open Day Competition on 30th April when 88 ladies from various clubs attended. The weather was kind and the eventual winners of the day were Tyrrells Wood. As can be seen the Epsom Ladies had some fun dressing up in Edwardian Clothes in keeping with the original 64 ladies who became affliliated to Epsom GC im March 1909. Thanks to all who took part and who helped to make the day such a success.

AGM - March 2009
We had our AGM on Tuesday 10th March when Frances said farewell to the ladies and became a has been!! See the picture above showing Frances getting her flowers. At the same meeting we gave flowers to our Honorary Member, Sylvia Thompson, who has been a member for 50yrs (see Picture above)
On Tuesday 17th Frances gave over her cheque for £1700 odd pounds to the Surrey Mencap Lady who said "this generous monies will go to helping send some children on holiday this year"
Helen Davies is my Vice Captain for the next year and we are hopefully going to have a fun centenary year.
